The Tablelands & Cassowary Coast University Centres (TCUC) are excited to offer $5,000 scholarships to students in 2026, thanks to our partnership with CGC – Civil Geotechnical Consultants. These scholarships support regional students who demonstrate resilience, determination, and commitment in their studies.

About the CGC Scholarships
The CGC Scholarship Program will award $5,000 to two recipients currently studying and continuing their undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Semester 1, 2026:

1 x $5,000 for a student registered with the Tablelands University Centre

1 x $5,000 for a student registered with the Cassowary Coast University Centre
Payment: Scholarships will be paid in two instalments:
- $2,500 by 31 March 2026
- $2,500 by 30 June 2026 (contingent on continuing eligibility)
These scholarships aim to invest in the potential of regional and rural students, helping them pursue higher education while overcoming challenges.
Who Can Apply
The CGC Scholarship Program is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a registered student at the Tablelands or Cassowary Coast University Centre
- Reside in the Tablelands, Cassowary Coast, or Mareeba area
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in 2026
Applicants must also meet at least one of the following criteria:
- First in your family to attend university
- Demonstrated commitment to study despite challenges (work, family, health, or education disruption)
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Demonstrated leadership, contribution, or initiative in the community
- Entered university via a non‑traditional pathway (e.g., mature‑age, vocational entry, or other non‑standard routes)
How to Apply
Applications open Tuesday 13 January 2026 and close Sunday midnight 22 February 2026. Completed forms must be submitted via email by the closing date.
Steps to Apply:
1. Download and complete the Application Form here.
2. Gather supporting documentation:
- Confirmation of Enrolment from Your Education Provider
- Proof of Current Residential Address. This could include a phone or bank letter, or any official document confirming your current residential address
3. Submit completed application form and supporting documentation via email to: ccuc@vpginc.com.au
Note: Incomplete applications or those received after the specified deadline will not be considered.
